To the editor:

My favourite part of the Gazette has always been flipping through and reading the captions under all the pictures. For awhile last semester, it had seemed that the witty, comedic caption writer that I had grown to love had disappeared — but he or she is now back amid backlash from some nurses and volleyball players. ‘$24,000 and all I get is a lousy pin’ caught my attention and made me laugh, while some other caption may have made me skip the small article on the pinning ceremony all together.

I’m sure the writer has no ill feelings towards the nursing program, nor thinks that tall volleyball players simply couldn’t make the basketball team. So please, for the sake of hilarious captions, can we all learn to take a joke?
