David Edmondson of Thornhill, Ontario, was on a fifteenth floor balcony of the 675 Richmond St. apartment building around 3 a.m. when he fell from the balcony and landed on the elevated gravel area at the base of the building.
London Police Service media relations officer Dennis Rivest confirmed police responded to an emergency call around 3 a.m. Sunday morning regarding a 22-year-old male who fell to his death from the fifteenth floor of the building.
According to Rivest, the police have no suspicion of foul play and will not be pursuing a criminal investigation. London police have turned the investigation over to the coroner, who couldn’t return calls by press time.
Edmondson was sitting on the edge of a balcony railing when he lost his balance and slipped off the balcony, according to several friends close to Edmondson.
A memorial for Edmondson is set up in the lobby of the 675 Richmond St. apartment building. Edmondson’s funeral will be Friday in Thornhill.
