CALiPH ft. Jack Flawless — “I’ll Be Waiting”

The beat can make or break a song, and luckily CALiPH has mastered it.

The combination of a distinct beat and inspired lyrics make CALiPH tracks impressive. “I’ll Be Waiting” in particular has a unique beat, making it a standout song. The track discusses searching for love and how difficult that search can feel. Featuring Jack Flawless on this track adds to the song’s diversity.

CALiPH has been working tediously on his debut album The Resignation which is expected to be released in early June. Several promotional songs will be released on his website each month until the album release.

His career may be in its infancy, but CALiPH musical talents have a lot of promise.

Ingrid Michaelson — “The Chain”

Indie-folk singer Ingrid Michaelson’s music is clearly relatable and a reflection of human emotion. Her songs are frequently found on a variety of soundtracks including Grey’s Anatomy, One Tree Hill and Pretty Little Liars.

“The Chain” is off of her 2009 release Everybody and is a beautiful track about lost love that features harmonies, rounds and a piano. With lyrics like, “And if you come around again, then I will take the chain from off the door,” the song’s melancholic feel will have you reflecting on your own relationships and regrets.

Robyn — “Indestructible”

Swedish pop sensation Robyn has had international success with her latest album Body Talk. “Indestructible,” a single off the album, has received rave reviews from critics. The dance song is consistent with the rest of the album in terms of its beat and tempo, but it’s unique in that it relies heavily on violins and cellos.

An acoustic version of the song is found on Body Talk Part II which focuses on the orchestral aspects of the original.

Robyn wrote “Indestructible” with producer Klaus Ahlund. It was released in November 2010.
