BOGS and the Senate

These are Western’s separate governing councils, which are not directly affiliated with the USC but include student-elected representatives.

Board of Governors: A separate governing unit not directly affiliated with the USC, this board has the final say on Western issues like budgeting and long-term planning.

Senate: Made up of elected students and Western staffers, the senate brings the student voice to the Board of Governors on issues like academics and financial aide. Some student senators get voting rights in council with others only get speaking rights.
