Four Western athletes and one coach are set to travel to Kazakhstan later this month to compete for Canada in the Winter Universiade.

Western's women's lacrosse team will be awarded gold medals after they appealed their championship game loss to Trent on Oct. 23.

The future is bright for Western's swimming team, who kicked off their competitive season at the OUA Fairweather Division Championships. 

The Mustangs water polo team earned a fifth-place finish in the OUAs overall after a decisive win against the Ottawa Gee-Gees.


Mustangs figure skating proves they are one of the most dominant programs in the OUA with a bronze medal finish in the first competition of the season. 


In taking home their 31st national championship in 32 years, Western's co-ed cheerleading team won by a 45-point margin over the second-place team, Queen's.
