The USC presidential race heated up on the last day as three more slates submitted their nomination forms to the USC.

Their applications are currently being approved and the slates will be confirmed by the 5 p.m. candidates' meeting. The deadline to submit their nomination forms was 4 p.m. today.

The three new slates with be joining fourth-year students Eddy Avila and Jamie Cleary and fourth-year students Brandon Palin and Robbie Cohen in this year’s USC race.

Update:

The third slate is third-year Faculty of Media Information students Mike Roy for president and Aidan Mckendrick for vice-president. 

The fourth slate is Faculty of Social Science and fourth-year student Robert MacMillan for president and Faculty of Social Science and third-year student Robert Armstrong for vice-president.

The last slate is FIMS president Melissa Peterson, who's running for USC president with Antoinette Taranets, FIMS student council vice-president communications.
